Why Duterte deserves the 9th Circle of Hell?

Life in the Philippines is a never-ending source of aggravation, but Rodrigo Roa Duterte was prepped five years ago to be the nation’s great savior!

Oh, the machismo-soaked figure we envisioned, ensuring that we were all on our guard at all times. Isn’t it lovely?

However, when this tyrant reaches the end of his reign, there is barely enough time to dot the i’s and cross the t’s on his path of destruction.

Slumped economy due to debts according to DBS Group Research, mismanaged pandemic handling which caused slow vaccine rollout, severe human rights breaches with extra-judicial killings, and militaristic tactics contributed to the country’s downturn.

It is also amusing how Duterte treats Filipinos like criminals while letting China treat him like a dimwit by completely ignoring the arbitration ruling. He has been so deluded by the mainland’s bribery that he has abandoned the country he pledged to protect.

Duterte could be described as the epitome of contradiction. He professes to uphold the law while encouraging forbidden vigilante justice. He advocates a corruption-free state, but he also fumes against the Commission on Audit’s report and justifies his long-overdue SALN disclosure according to several media reports. Rather than improving economic incentives as a solution, he used “Operation Tokhang,” which has resulted in unlawful deaths of thousands of innocent people. Having started with the iconic “3-6 months” campaign promise, “Change is coming” has turned into “Change is scamming.”

With all of these in consideration, the Duterte admin has shown itself to be neither more competent nor any less corrupt than previous administrations.

If only there was a layer deeper than the ninth circle, may the streams of hell flow with the blood of those he massacred and betrayed—and this must poison him and the other deceitful slaves.

As what came from Duterte’s lips, “Reserve the hottest place in hell for me and may I burn ‘till eternity.”
